Jon Kristian Haarr is a 33-year-old Norwegian Candidate Master and has been the Vice President of the Norwegian Chess Federation since 2022. He began his chess career through school chess, winning the national championship in 6th grade. In 2019, he co-founded Offerspill Chess Club together with Magnus Carlsen and has served as the General Secretary of the club since 2020. In addition to being a somewhat active chess player and commentator in Norway, he has volunteered as a chess teacher for inmates at Oslo Prison for the past three years. Jon Kristian holds an MBA and is currently working as a Performance Marketer for a Norwegian tech company.
