Mr. Acheampong is a senior vice president and account manager in the U.S. institutional public client practice based in the New York office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2021, he was a vice president at PGIM Fixed Income, focused on traditional and alternative fixed income capital raising efforts for U.S. and Canadian public entities and corporate, endowment, and foundation entities. Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs as a proprietary and principal equities trader focused on technology, media, and telecommunications. He has 15 years of investment experience and holds an MBA in finance, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He received an undergraduate degree from Duke University where he was a full scholarship recipient.  He attended Phillips Academy at Andover. He sits on the Board of Chess in the Schools.
